BMW M6 MT3 set for rerelease at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show 0
After the BMW Z4 GT3 crowned its final major appearance at the 24 hours of Spa Francorchamps, with the victory for BMW sports trophy team marc VDS. Now the new BMW M6 MT3 will take over as the manufacturers figurehead on the GT racing scene and will do battle for victory and titles in the many racing series around the world.
The whole vehicle is supported by a steel chassis, including a carbon fibre structure at the front and a carbon fibre reinforced plastic crash element at the rear, which weighs less the 1,300 kilograms. The BMW M6 MT3 have said they will set the standard in driveability, ergonomics and safety; this goes beyond the GT3 regulations for 2016.
When it comes to the engine, the new BMW M6 MT3 will feature a 4.4 litre V8 engine with M Twin Power turbo technology, which has been slightly modified compared the the standard production engine. This produces 585 break horse power, but is depending on the classification, but the engine is based around an FIA-approved specifications.
The M6 GT3 is the most economic GT sports car that BMW has ever built; the running costs for the power train on the new car will be roughly 30 per cent lower than the previous BMW Z4 GT3. Since the start of production, great importance was placed on ensuring that spare parts offer good value for money.
Release date & Price
The BMW M6 MT3 is available for purchase on the 15th September 2015, and will cost £250,000, and on this day the BMW M6 will be presented for the first time without the camouflage livery, but in a motorsport racing design at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
