ecto-1There have been some pretty scary cars in Hollywood films over the years. We take a look at some our favorite Halloween themed cars in TV and movies.

The Mystery Machine – Scooby Doo

The Mystery Machine was actually a van. It helped Scooby and the gang solve cases for decades.

Gator’s Car – Death Race 2000

Frankenstein drove Gator’s Car, a very scarily designed Corvette. The car had red eyes, giant teeth along with a spine down the centre. The 2008 Death Race film had a Monster Mustang, which Jason Statham drove.

Chevrolet Nova – Death Proof 2007

Although this car doesn’t sound very scary, it certainty looked scary. Kurt Russell’s car was one that protected the driver only.

Ecto-1 – Ghostbusters (1984)

Who ya gonna call? The Ghostbuster car is one of the most famous and well known Halloween themed Hollywood car. It was actually a 1959 Cadillac Miller Meteor.

The Batmobile

Is this the most well-known Halloween type themed movie car? The Batmobile always looks magnificent and has some unbelievable features. The original TV series used a Lincoln Futura concept car. The Chris Nolan film series looked awesome, looking an agile tank-type of vehicle.

Happy Toyz Co – Western Star truck – Maximum Overdrive 1986

The scary thing about this car was the Green Goblin on the grille. The film proved that Steven King was perhaps a better writer than he was a director.

1984 Dodge M4S in The Wraith, 1986

Perhaps the car itself wasn’t so scary, but the film was certainty a horror. For its era, the Dodge M4S was pretty cool.
