News on Renault in the UK 0

Renault has decided to trim down their line up for their models here in the UK. The Renault Modus, Kangoo car, Compact van, Wind Roadster, Laguna and Escape have all been cut. Interestingly enough some of those models are still available in struggling car markets such as Italy and Spain.

They will now concentrate heavily on the new Renault Megane and Scenic. Both have been popular here in the UK and have been revamped for the UK market.

The Renault Scenic

The Scenic comes with a new Luxe trim. This high tech system introduces a Bose sound system, dual zone climate control and 17 inch Sari alloy wheels. The brand new Visio system has features such as the lane departure warning and automatic headlight safety system which comes at a cost of £1,500.

Every model will now come in three trims per model. This means both the Clio and Megane come in three different trims, the Expression+, the Dynamique TomTom and the GT Line TomTom.

Renault Megane

The new Renault Megane’s prices for this year have just been announced. The entry level car will cost around £16,275 and come with a 1.6 litre petrol engine capable of producing 110 BHP within the Expression+ trim. This particular trim comes with 16 inch alloy wheels, a nicely designed leather steering wheel, cruise control and USB and Bluetooth connectivity. Orders can be taken now.

Further up the range, the car costs £23,325 for the Sport Tourer dCi 160 GT Line TomTom.

The new electric car range – Twizy

The Renault Twizy electric car is available to buy this month. The choices of trim are said to come in “Urban, Colour and Technic”. The car will be priced at £6690. The hire of the battery per month will be £45. The option of half scissor doors will cost £545 with a clear roof costing £195. A top of the range Technic will cost £7400.

The Fluence car will cost a staggering £17,495 and between £70 and £135 for battery rental. It will go on sale during early March. The electric car Zoe will go on sale in October and will start from £13,500.
