The Nissan 370z has a great reputation for being a wholly beautiful and sporty car. This year Nissan have made the car slightly more appealing whilst keeping all of it’s fundamental strengths.
Changes
Before it’s preview at the 2012 Chicago Motor Show, Nissan have included LED running lights along with a modified rear end of the car. There are some new 18 inch alloy wheels and 19 inch alloy wheels with the Sport package will be made available to choose from too. Added to the rear fascia will be a red reflector which replaces the black centre cover. There are also two new attractive exterior colours to choose from which include Magma Red and Midnight Blue. Red coloured brake callipers will come with the Sport editions of the car. The sport version will also receive Euro tuned shock absorbers. The fuel gauage will have a splendid new design with a darker finish.
Al Castignetti – Moving forward
Al Castignetti, the Vice President and General Manager of the Nissan Division in North America has released a statement saying that the changes are little but significant. He said “Since the original 1970 ZÒ was first introduced our goal has always been to keep the design moving forward. The changes for 2013, though subtle, go a long way in enhancing its dynamic appearance inside and out”
Nissan 370Z NISMO
The Nissan 370Z NISMO will come in a gun metallic dark finish along with 19 inch alloy wheels. There will also be a BoseÒ Premium Audio Package with two subwoofers and two extra speakers, the brake fluid will be a performance type of fluid. The brake hoses will resemble that of the Nissan GTR. There be will none of the Euro tuned shock absorbers, no new front and rear reflector and no Midnight Blue exterior colour option.
Performance wise no difference
Performance and engine wise, there are no new options for the 2013 370Z. The 2013 370Z Coupe and the 370Z Coupe Touring will come with a 3.7 litre DOHC V6 engine capable of producing 332 BHP, as is the case with the 2012 models. Both will come with a choice of either a 6 speed manual transmission or a 7 speed automatic transmission.
The new revised version is expected to go on sale next year in June. It’s a magnificent car which has steadily become one of the world’s most desired sports cars.
