World Car of the Year Finalists Announced 0

It is getting closer and closer to that time again. April may mean many things for some people but over here at Servicing Stop, it only means one thing, the World Car of the Year award.

World-Car-of-the-Year-Finalists-AnnouncedThe World Car of the Year competition has been a persistently present competition since 2005. Taking two years to host the first one, the inception led to the Audi A6 being the first car to win the ‘Overall World Car of the Year’ automotive award. If you are unfamiliar with the criteria a car must have to enter this competition, then you have come to the right place in order to quickly learn about it. The car, entered in by its manufacturer must have been sold in five countries and two continents prior to the start of the year. Then, 48 global automotive journalists from 22 countries select finalists (which have already been done in the Geneva Motor Show 2016) and then a winner is picked for this prestigious prize in April at the New York International Auto Show.

As it is later on in the year, here are the three finalists from each of the five categories in the World Car of the Year award as announced in Geneva in early March. It will not be a huge long winded overview of each car but instead, just each finalist from each category;
