Would you buy a Lamborghini smartphone? 1

tauri88Are you sick of having the same smart-phone as everyone else? Want something unique? If that’s true, then you could go and grab the new Lamborghini smartphone. We guarantee that none of your friends will have one.

Why? Firstly it costs a ridiculous £4,000. Named the 88 Tauri, the device was first unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this week.

Pretty impressive statistics

The display is 5 inches, with the front and rear cameras being 20 and 8 megapixels respectively. Being powered by a quad-core 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, the phone is very technologically advanced. 3GB of ram and 64GB of internal storage confirm that statement. You wouldn’t really expect any less for £4,000.  On top of that, Lamborghini were keen to let everyone about 13 exclusive ringtones too that come with the phone.. from a DJ that no one has heard of.

The company have said that their new smartphone will let you take “the most luxurious selfie in the world”. Moving on to the more technical benefits of the phone, it allows you to make 35 hours of phone calls which are made on 3G networks. It can also last up to 1,000 hours in standby mode. Dual sim cards are supported too for those who like to travel the world a lot. If that’s not enough to justify the price-tag, the phone also comes with three metal and two leather colors. Be quick if you want to snap one up, there are just 1,947 of each possible combination. Somehow we still don’t think those extra attributes warrant the price-tag.

Not the world’s most expensive phone

As highly priced as the phone is, it is nowhere near to being the highest priced phone in the world. Back in 2013, a Chinese businessman purchase a special black diamond decorated iPhone 5, costing an astonishing £10 million. Not sure anyone would be proud of owning that.

Nothing to do with the Lamborghini.. the sports car brand

It is worth mentioning that Lamborghini, the sports-car maker that we all know actually have nothing to do with the new smartphone, despite their name being used to drum up business. The new 88 Tauri was developed by Tonino Lamborghini who is the son of the Ferruccio, the founder of the high-performance, stylish cars.

We doubt there will be many takers. The luxurious 88 Tauri smartphone is clearly aimed at high-end consumers who have money to waste.
