What are the Liverpool players driving? 0

Like most leading Premiership clubs, Liverpool has seen its fair share of swanky motors pass through the gates of Liverpool’s training complex at Melwood. Here’s a few of the more impressive examples – and Jurgen Klopp’s (which shouldn’t come as a surprise really).

Daniel Sturridge – Porsche Panamera

He’s worked as an ambassador for Hyundai in the past, but that’s not what he’s driving this season. No, the injury prone centre forward has been motoring into Melwood in a white Porsche Panamera the past few months. Other fancy offerings he’s been spotted in include the Range Rover Evoque and a white Ferrari 458.

Mamadou Sakho – Range Rover

Range Rovers have long been considered a footballers car, and Mamadou Sakho is not one to want to be seen rocking the boat. The defender is one of a few squad members driving the SUV. He’s not exclusive though and has also been seen in an Audi R8 supercar, plus an enormous Cadillac Escalade – which former red Martin Skrtel also drives.

Philippe Coutinho – BMW X6

You’d expect Phillipe Coutinho to drive something a bit classy and the cultured midfielder doesn’t disappoint, cruising the North-West in the sizable BMW X6 luxury crossover decked out in a black paint job.

Simon Mignolet – Mercedes M-Class

He may have been ousted recently from the first team by the arrival of German stopper Karius, but Mignolet recently signed a long term contract at Anfield, and turns up to work in a M-Class SUV in the ML250 Bluetec specification, which was replaced last year by the manufacturer by the new Mercedes GLE.

Dejan Lovren – Mercedes S-Class Coupe

He sticks to what he knows…and in Dejan’s case, that’s cars made by German giant Mercedes. The Croatian alternates between an E-Class saloon and the more luxurious S-Class coupe.

Jurgen Klopp – Vauxhall Insignia

Always expect the unexpected when it comes to Jurgen Klopp. With an unorthodox approach to pretty much everything; the reds manager is no different when it comes to his chosen mode of transport. Instead of opting for a luxury SUV or sports car, the gaffer actually takes to the road driving a much more modest Vauxhall Insignia.

Klopp has been ambassador for the Vauxhall/Opel brand for over a year and Vauxhall just so happens to be Official UK Car Partner for Liverpool FC.
