Learner driver’s test interrupted by police 0

Learner-drivers-test-interrupted-by-policeEverything was going well for one learner driver, until the car she was driving was pulled over by the police.

As if the driving test itself was not nerve racking enough, the unfortunate learner and examiner were stopped by the police during the test in Tile Cross, east Birmingham, on Saturday.

The car was pulled over after the police checked the car and found it didn’t have a valid MOT certificate. The vehicle was subsequently seized and impounded.

The road policing unit for West Midlands police said the learner was set to pass the test until their interruption as no mistakes had been recorded.

Both the instructor and pupil were taken back to the test centre where the former was questioned. The 46-year old admitted to driving without insurance but denied knowing the car had no MOT, said police. She was reported to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency and will need to provide valid insurance and MOT documents to the police at a later date.
