Ford Focus RS 2016 Finally Revealed 0

The new Ford Focus RS has been revealed at the recent Geneva motor show, and set to rival the like of the Audi S3, Mercedes A45 AMG and VW Golf R. The Focus RS is set to be the hottest version of the standard version of the car, and a further step up from the Ford Focus ST.

Ford-Focus-RSThe RS interior gets several upgrades from the old version, to match the new exaggerated exterior. The interior of the Ford Focus RS is fitted with Recaro sport seats, a flat bottomed, leather clad steering wheel, alloy pedals and simpler dashboard layout.

The interior also includes an 8 inch colour touch screen and Ford’s Sync 2 system, which can be found on all higher spec Ford medals. On purchase buyers have a choice of colours to choose from, which include: Nitrous Blue, Stealth Grey, Absolute Black or Frozen White.


The Ford Focus RS will include a four cylinder 2.3 litre Eco Boost engine, which is an upgraded version of the engine available in the new Ford Mustang. It has been confirmed that is can produce more than 316 break horse power with more talk than the Mustang’s 320 pound foot.

The engine has been connected to a performance exhaust, which has been said to deliver a rewarding and sporty sound during a spirited driving. Along with the distinctive burbles, pops and crackles that are an RS signature, but will only be available with a six speed manual gearbox.


Pricing of the Ford Focus RS start at £30,000, which is set to undercut all of its rivals which is helped but the fact that for the first time, the RS will be sold all over the world. Ford is hoping that this will achieve greater sales numbers, from the wider demand across the globe.
