2015-maserati-quattroporte-gts_100489708_hMaserati’s sixth generation model for 2015 provides another classy full size sedan that meets and exceeds expectations from one of Italy’s most luxurious car makers. The 2015 Maserati Quattroporte continues the success from the 2014 model with some improvements and changes like the new multi-spoke forged alloy wheels, colour-matched lower bodywork, and red-accented Maserati logos, while all models are given upgraded standard equipment and ampler trim choice.

With the German trio Audi S8, the BMW 760Li, and the Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG currently ruling and dominating the sedan market, it can be easy to forget about Italy’s top sedan. The Maserati Quattroporte is equally efficient despite the EPA rating of 13 miles per gallon in cities, 22 miles per gallon on motorways, and 16 miles per gallon combined, whilst also having great balance with the rich, classy appearance inside and out.

The 2015 Maserati Quattroporte offers a pair of engines, both of them fitted with twin turbochargers. But the Maserati Quattroporte comes in two models, the powerful model GTS 3.8-liter V-8 makes 523 horsepower and 524 pound foot of torque, driving the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic. These impressive performance specs help it to go from zero to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds and can travel a quarter-mile in just 12.7 seconds at 112 miles per hour, at top speed this Masserati can hit 182 mph which is very impressive and unique for a four door sedan, these specs do help it to stand out against the competition.

The standard motor S Q4 is a 3.0-liter V6 that produces 404 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque, this model comes a bit cheaper for users that aren’t too fused about the high end specs but is still a worthy competitor. Despite the increased size, Maserati has actually managed to trim 200 lbs. from the Quatroporte’s curb weight through the extensive use of aluminum and other lightweight materials.

Getting your hands on the 2015 Maserati Quattroporte may be an issue for most, with prices starting at around £70,000 and could cost upto £90,000. But going from reviews, the Quattroporte seems worth the price just to experience the Italian version of luxury and performance that Masserati have once again delivered.
