The all-new Skoda Superb Estate: space for style 0

If you’re looking for space without compromising style, comfort or safety, then Skoda have you covered. The new third-gen Superb Estate brings you the space of a luxury car, with the price of a decent-spec family vehicle.

Since 2001, the Czech brand’s Superb has been the flagship vehicle, and everyone can see why. The Superb offers everything a family could want in a family-car, with a pleasing price-tag to boot. Much like the Skoda Superb Hatchback, the Estate also lacks direct rivals. Skoda has produced a vehicle that is hard to match in space and price, and the other manufacturers don’t appear to be challenging them.

The new estate is available in five trim levels, so there’s something for everyone: the entry-level S, SE, SE Business, SE L Executive and the range-topping Laurin & Klement.

Four TSI petrol and three 4-cylinder TDI diesel direct-injection turbocharged engines are available; a four-wheel drive version is also an option. The new Superb reaches a top speed of 129mph and make the 0-62mph drive in 9.9 seconds. The entry-level engine is the 1.4 turbo petrol, which achieves 123bhp and averages 52mpg.

Skoda has thrown in a few surprise delights for drivers, like umbrellas inside seats and an ice scraper in the fuel cap, but the best thing about this car is the space: “the new generation model boasts the largest interior space in its class, meaning that you and your passengers can travel in comfort.” And the boot room has also increased, offering 660-litres with the seats upright or 1,950-litres with the seats folded down.

Standard features and additional options include: roof rails, floor level in the boot can be raised, integrated rear sunblinds, a vast range of wheels, electric front and rear windows, front armrest with storage box, 12V sockets, LED rear lights, tow bar, Bluetooth, Front Assist, rear parking sensors, Stop/Start engine with energy recovery, Swing radio with 5-inch touchscreen, Cruise control, Hill-hold control, and SmartLink.

The Skoda Superb Estate is available to test drive and purchase now. On the road prices start from £19,840 for the entry-level S and from £31,840 for the range-topping Laurin & Klement model.
